So today was my first day back to work after the surgery. It has been 10 days since the surgery, and I am walking around alright (though I tire out very easily). The surgery itself went well, but of course my anxiety wants to believe that there will be complications that will sneak up on me later. My mind can be a little bit of a cruel place sometimes. Unfortunately, if something does happen it is out of my control.
However, this entry is not just about me returning to research, but an unpleasant return of somebody that I broke up with almost two years ago. While scrolling through my newfeeds on the "book of faces" I noticed one of my friend

Been Through the Ringer

Instead of studying for my exams, I decided to write to an empty room.
I am up in the middle of the night, unable to sleep. This past 2 months have been a bit tough on me. I am hoping that I can pull through this soon.
After a series of unfortunate events and many bouts of illness, I am starting to become run down. I have trouble eating which has cause weight loss that has begun to frighten some of the people around me. It could be worse, but I am trying to manage it before it becomes a serious problem. Even coworkers have notice me struggling. I have had my "boss" pull me aside to address the problem as well, which was incredibly embarrass

I can imagine. I'm guess you were not pro-Brexit or however it is called? On the bright side you won't have either Trump or Hillary as your next president.
I did have a good birthday. Went out for dinner/bowling with friends, and my lab got me a card they all signed and a balloon
Other than that I have been doing okay. I found out I have a large cyst on my ovary that needs to be surgically removed in two weeks so that has me a little stressed out. I have been trying to work hard in the lab and come in on weekends to try to get as much done before I have to spend time recovering. Lots of other stuff been happening in my life that has kept me busy, but most of it has been good expect that.
